I actually tried to do the fan taping while the shroud (thingy that holds the cheap fans that died) on the GPU. It got up to 88C.

I almost burned my finger taking it out. It got dropped like a hot potato but gently on a desk and was left to cool for a while.

Figure out the size and voltage of the fans and replace them man. They're prolly 10 bucks on amazon.

88 on a modern GPU isn't unheard of. 88 at idle? Yeah that's no bueno.

I figured out what to get. Gonna order them tomorrow hopefully.

88 on BYC was what I was getting. Which prompted another hopefully better rednecking to hold the thing over.
