Using a Brooder Plate in an Outdoor Brooder?

The lows are what is important. At five weeks I would not worry about lows in the fifties, I do not think supplemental heat is necessary even if it has not totally feathered out. A lot of it depends on how you feel. If you are more comfortable with the heat plate out there go ahead. You are important too and don't need to worry.

Thank you! I only worry about the one that is behind. She probably has feathers more like a 3 week old, but she doesn't hang out under the light in the brooder so she will probably be okay.
