Using a chipper shredder for feed stock

Hello, im not sure if this is the right area to post this question but i was wondering if anyone ever used a chipper shredder to mulch anything up for there feed stock? I had thought of getting around a 5-10hp chipper and then shredding up some corn and cornstalks in the fall along with maybe some other dried up vegatable plants. I would like to add this as a suppliment to my layer pellets. Any info on this would be greatly appriciated. thank you

You could probably use it for bedding, but I don't know that they'd eat it.

I think their is a forum about feeding, you might get a better response if you post your question there. I'm new to chickens so I have no advice.
