Using a Cot for a Coop. Almost Finished! :-)

Very cool idea. I was wondering what i would do if i needed a chicken injury room and i think this would be a great idea. I have a porta crib that would work good for this.

There are only going to be 2 chickens. 1 Isabrown and 1 Australorp X.

It's now about their 3rd night out in it, and they absolutely love it. Although I did catch a cat trying to get into their run, but it freaked out when it jumped over the wire and landed in bird netting- it was hilarious to watch. I don't think it'll be back.

I bought the star pickets today and might set them all up tomorrow. I need the bf's help though for that. it's a four handed job.


I love that ladder design!! I think they're a bit too little to figure that sort of thing out though. They couldn't even jump down from the cot today it was too far. So I put another box there for them to jump to.
