Using All Flock Feed

So here’s 2 different feeds. Feed 1 is an All Flock Id like to use, and add free choice oyster shells for the layers. Is this safe for my newly hatched chicks as well? Trying to avoid separate feed storage at the moment.

The percentages are different. I would keep the chicks on their own feed. It isnt worth risking health issues long term. In my opinion. I am at that stage of wanting to switch but waiting too. It is a hassle!! the struggle is real when they are all together in one flock.

I know they’re very different but I thought all flock was for all ages & low enough calcium for chicks & roosters? Eek thank you for the input! I may just need to continue using multiple feeds

How old are they? You could go to flock raiser feed and keep oyster shells on the side. For the laying hens. The littles won't eat it. If the chicks are fuzzed out and have feathers I feed everyone all flock. You can share with the hens whats left of the chick food it won't hurt them. I didn't think to ask how old I picture chicks as fuzz balls feathered as pullets and eggs as hens.

It is and you can I am not sure about newly hatched chicks I wait for feathers.

All flock can mean all ages and/or all poultry. Feed #1 you listed is very high in protein for chickens (is it intended as a game bird feed?) and a little high in calcium. I would opt for feed #2 if you have only chickens.

The bag should have specific feeding instructions for each age group. An all Flock feed should be appropriate for the flock at all ages.
