Using diapers to pack hatching eggs?

Hello fellow chicken/duck friends! We breed a few rare-breed ducks such as Silver Appleyard, Cayuga and Saxony. We've only ever offered local pick-up for ducklings and hatching eggs, but now we are offering shipping.

I'm looking for ways to simplify the packaging process and I read somewhere that infant baby diapers might be used in lieu of bubble wrap around each egg. What are your thoughts? Has anyone ever packaged this way? I know there are about as many packaging suggestions as there are duck breeds, but we want something simple that works and this seemed like it could really expedite the process and provide a really uniform packaging option.

My friend used diapers for the egg cradle projecr in science and it worked, but it was the size of a volleyball

If I were the buyer, I'd see it as really unprofessional - even for a cottage market level provider.

I've gotten them in diapers, they were all intact. It's an okay option.

Personally, I don't like the foam mailers, there is too much wiggle room.

If I were going to ship eggs, I'd wrap each one in bubble wrap and then pack in a box full of fine wood shavings. Put a piece of foam in the bottom, a good layer of shavings, eggs, shavings, eggs, etc. and pack them in tight. Or bubble wrapped eggs in a large carton, closed, packed in shavings.

Whatever you use, the goal is to keep the eggs from moving independently inside the box, you want the eggs and box moving together, no bumping around. Because that box is gonna get beat to hell by the PO no matter what you put on it. I have quit ordering eggs, for whatever reason my PO route is just too dang hard on them.
