Using egg cartons during lockdown?

I used the "carton method" and thought that it seemed much easier for the chicks to actually hatch b/c they can peck away at the egg and it stays still as it would with a broody hen laying on top! I think all of that rolling around slows down the process of hatching! Just my humble opinion. The babies seemed to make a perfect little zipline all the way around the entire shell and then pop right out. I highly recommend it! PS. Thanks for the styrafoam tip...I'll be using that instead of cardboard cartons next time I hatch!
