screwing around with the temps will just give you less chicks and most likely more chicks born with defects.

Not necessarily- The Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids (which we could not do today!) but didn't have the invention of a wheel! Same for Stonehenge etc...

yes, Im sure they are- I wasn't comparing biological processes with construction processes..I was just saying one shouldn't assume that hatcheries have tried it... maybe hatcheries dont want to waste 80% of their eggs if they can sell as straight run.
