Has anyone tried using their homemade chicken pluckers on the quail. I guess I'm saying... has anyone used the same scalding and plucking techniques on quail?? If so.. does it work? I'm contimplating trying it myself but am first seeking a little advise...

I don't think a chicken plucker would work but I may build a quail plucker.

We scald them to pluck, and it works real well. We have an actual chicken dipper, but the same can be done in a pan on the stove. Just practise a bit till you get just the right time. Too long, you'll cook them, and too short, they won't pluck well. But once you get it figured out, the feathers pretty much can be wiped right off the bird. Works great for us. You won't need a plucker.
