Using lime in chicken runs to call infection

Hi a couple of my bantams have micro plasma and are being treating with a solution that is taken for a week every eight weeks. They need to have three doses. They have had one so far and the three birds showing the infection have been given injections by the vet.

I also have hybrids.

I wish to switch the runs around and have been told to disinfect the bantam run with lime before putting the hybrids in.

I need to know which type of lime and how long would it have to be left empty before the hybrids could be transferred. Also do I have to wait until the bantams have all three doses of the solution before doing the transfer.

Lastly the medication is called Tylan soluble. When would it be safe to eat the bantams eggs.

Any advice would be most welcomed.

I use hydrated lime the caustic kind and only empty out each corral/ barn/run of animals while I do it. My floor is dirt. I till it into the dirt then throw fresh bedding. I let them in as long as theirs no powder in the air. 15 min about. It hasn't harmed anyone in anyway yet. Even the chicks. Its great for goats, helps their hooves and they don't eat off the ground. But chickens peck the floor so if you use it make sure you till it well. If your coup is not a dirt floor, its actually used to white wash dont use hydrated lime on the floor. I know a lot of people use barn lime but I can't find it and until I do i don't have many options. As far as your egg question, I have no idea.
