Using Metal shed as coop, need some tips

I would cut one or two window sized rectangles in the shed and make windows, covering them with hardware cloth. This lets in light as well as ventilation. Also I have a window in my coop and I notice one chicken likes to always roost next to it, and look outside until she falls "asleep." Maybe chickens like a view?

Fiddle, good idea! That is what I want to do is make a window cover with GOOD tough wire like hardware cloth. Would an overhand work good to keep rain from getting in the window?
