Using Quick-Crete Around the Run

Yesterday I mixed up quick-crete & put it around the areas where my wire meets the foundation of the building so that no predators can get in & along the foundation inside the run where there were cracks. I am concerned if it's not completely set that the chickens will peck at it, eat it & get sick. The bag of the concrete doesn't really say how long you need to wait. I was thinking 2 days?? It also says something about sealing the concrete. Is that necessary? Thank you!

Sounds like a good idea. Usually over night is good enough. Do you have any pictures?
