I am a renter, and my landlord is, sadly, emphatically anti-chicken (I raise quail instead).

I'm thinking of asking around my area to see if someone will let me raise birds on their land in exchange for eggs and/or meat.

Since I am somewhat prone to delusions of grandeur I thought you all might be able to tell me if this is just insane, or otherwise a terrible idea. Has anyone done this?

Help BYC, stop me before I do something stupid!

Sounds like you need a poultry partner in crime. Do you have any friends that have some land and an open mind? Oh, and if you are looking to be stopped, you came to the wrong place [IMG] I think its a GREAT idea!!!

Go for it. Just hammer out the details in advance, so there are no surprises.

Carress, here on BYC, has 10 power rangers with my 99. It can be done!
