I got them at Tractor Supply. I called them again today, since they are still getting birds in till Saturday, they just don't know what will come in. Yesterday they thought all they would be getting are meat birds. Today, they got in the orpington and RIR...so I got two of each for now, and going to see what/if they get any additional layers tomorrow and/or Saturday. I'd like a couple of kinds. If it doesn't work out, I at least have four, and can get more next spring. Orpington was on my short list.Awesome! I am glad you were able to locate some chicks. Were those the breeds you wanted? Our RIR are great layers and our orpingtons are the sweetest. Our favorite, Clarence loved to be held on our swing. If we sit down she comes running over to be picked up! View attachment 2104197
