Hello everyone,
In my time breeding I've always used leg tags to keep track of lineage and splits etc however this season I am looking into using wing bands instead. I'll be putting them on chicks however I have a few queries that I can't seem to find the answers to elsewhere:
1. Can wing bands be put on birds of any age?
2. Do they need to be adjusted at all or can you just put them on the chick and that's it?
3. I will probably be using Jiffy wing bands, are these of decent quality (if you've used them before)?
4. I doubt there is, but, is there any issue with exhibiting birds with wing tags? I've seen leg banded birds often but wanted to check with wing bands.
Any advice is greatly appreciated
