USPS prices went up effective today...

As is normal, everything is passed on to the consumer! One thing I did notice that is different though, if you print your own shipping label, they knock 50 cents off the Post Office price!

I sent out five boxes of eggs yesterday and was very happy to get a discount by using the click n ship. I just need to find some sticky labels to use for my address labels instead of tapeing them on as it adds additional weight to the package after the fact.

I have also found that it is usually cheaper to use the big #7 box to ship the smaller quantities of eggs than using the flat rate. The price is based on weight for priority.

My 2 vents with the PO recently...

6 business days for a first class letter I sent to travel 40 MILES!
5 business days for a priority box of eggs to get from Michigan to Virginia.
