Utah Poultry Show - Oct. 10-11 - near SLC

UFPA Poultry Show, Oct 10-11, Farmington, UT -- Free admission

Over 500 chickens, ducks and geese will be on display Fri., Oct. 10 thru Sat., Oct. 11. The Utah Fancy Poultry Association (known as about the friendliest chicken club around!) will be hosting its semi-annual show at the Davis County Fair Park in Farmington (across I-15 from Lagoon).

A great opportunity to learn about different kinds of poultry! You can chat with knowledgeable owners, enjoy delicious food, take part in a raffle, and even buy your own show-quality chickens at the Auction or from tagged cages.

FRIDAY
* 7 am - 8 pm: Enjoy walking down rows of show-quality poultry, looking at winners selected, visiting with breeders, and previewing early raffle and poultry auction entries
* 9 am: Judge starts going down rows and selecting winning birds. No discussion with judge allowed during judging.
* Noon: Luncheon ($ donation requested)

SATURDAY
* 8 am - 5:30 pm: Enjoy walking down rows of show-quality poultry, looking at winners, and visiting with breeders.
* Noon: Luncheon ($ donation requested)
* 1 pm: Auction of donated show-quality poultry
* 4 pm: Raffle of variety of items
* 6:30 pm: Banquet and Awards Presentation - $14/adult, $7/child

this show was super cool! Do you know of any other shows that are happening in Utah. At the banquet there was a show at the equestrian park in south jordan mentioned but I cant remember the date this was happening. Thanks for any info

Here is a link to a general calendar for the Salt Lake County Equestrian Park in South Jordan: http://www.slco.org/calendar/month.cfm?siteID=2. Maybe looking through it you can find something? Though the show might not have been added to the calendar yet??

I have never heard of a show being held there, but maybe there is a new one starting or maybe someone was referring to the Salt Lake County Fair, which has a chicken show as part of it. I went to chicken show within the fair two years ago there. It was held mid-August & was pretty good, though smaller than the UFP club shows.

I see there is a "Utah Classic SC" being listed for the the Utah State Fairgrounds for February, but I've never heard of it before.

I've heard the Four Corners Poultry Assoc. Show in New Mexico is a very good one & is big. The people in charge of it are very friendly & nice, too.

When I was looking at the Utah show listings on poultryshowcentral.com, I saw it listed that the UFPA show was supposed to be held Oct 27-28. But I'm thinking it was already held Oct 12-13. Is that right?
I will send them an email to request the correction.
Do you know what the dates will be for the Spring UFPA show in March?

The Utah Fancy Poultry Association holds two shows every year at the Davis County Fairgrounds north of Salt Lake. They are in March & October.

Thank you for the links. I thought it was at the equestrian park but I may be wrong. Yes the dates on the website are wrong the show has already occurred.
