Utah!

my eggs will be hatching while I am gone.  Then I am putting my bator away unless I find something wonderful in Arizona.  Who is taking orders for started pullets.  If they are bcm i want 2

Sundance, I am going over but not til next Spring to hopefully get Black Tail Buff Marans if they are available and all goes well with her breeding. If you want more FBCM I would be glad to bring some back. Same breeder I got your last ones at. BUT the same FBCM will be around here closer---Daloorashens and blujems have her birds from this year with roos and should have eggs available sometime soon....and I want to hatch some from them myself in the spring so I am hoping to have some FBCM chicks (if you have not hatched any by then) :)

You guys have been busy the last couple days! :)

Sundance, I'm so sorry about your Polish. :( So sad!

Sphinx, you asked how my new job is going...it's going well! I'm really enjoying it so far. Although, I can't wait until the probationary period is over and I can move on from cashier to dog training. :) And I loved all your pictures! Beautiful!

Lisa, are you feeling better yet? I'm sorry you were feeling down today.

Cynthia, I'm seriously worried about you! I'd bring my doTerra diffuser over if I were closer. Also, if you want to keep your Reptipro and not sell it, I'll totally understand, no hard feelings.

Feather Forest, Welcome to BYC! I'm a little outside of Logan.

Lil, was it you who offered your husband's traveling services? :) Thanks! We may take you up on that offer some time!

Lilwanis, that's a very excellent attempt at being friendly!

Lisa, crazy egg. I've gotten a few like that. It seems like sometimes they just go a little nuts, huh?

Cynthia, loved your pictures. I love spanish fork canyon, especially in the fall. I'm not sure that I'll make it down there this year, so i'm glad you posted pictures.

Sundance, how is that little dog with the broken leg?

Cynthia - Excitement is running high at my house! Mostly from me

I can't wait to see the babies once they hatch!

I got my notice yesterday evening, that the chicks have been shipped! I'm guessing they will be here tomorrow. That would be great if they get here tomorrow, gives them some time to settle down, to start eating and drinking by Sat..if that is when you are coming. If you need to wait until a few days later, that is fine. Just let me know.

Sasha, no worried, I am on the mend. I can breath now! And smell, and best of all...ta da...taste! My cough is getting better, not that non stop cough that gives the abs a good work out like Lisa said. I am using that bator right now, but will be done by this weekend. I am hopefully, getting some silkies from the gal that sent some free ones to me. They are very small..so we will see. I set 6 live ones in there the other day..due to hatch day after tomorrow. Hope to see some pips by tomorrow night.

Yaaaay! My Blue Splash Silkie laid her first egg, right out there one the ground where I figured she would. Not a bad sized egg either! If this is a pullet first time egg, which I realize can be big at first anyway, or small...I am looking forward to larger ones. :D
Going to change the place for the Silkies. They just won't go anywhere inside the coop at night, but "beside" the nest boxes. They all huddle together between a wall and the boxes. I've heard that Silkies won't roost, I see her on the outside one, but not on the inside one. So, we are going to add to the other outside pen..on the inside..put lots of shavings down, and maybe she will lay in there. I sure hope so.

Here are a couple of pictures, I am comparing it to my NH's that she laid for me this morning.

I like the color too..it isn't a real light cream, that they often lay..almost white. This is
a nice color, even next to the NH's.

I was out there giving them grass..and I see it, and say out loud..oh, an egg. Glad no one
decided to pick on it. It was cold, so she laid it earlier this morning.
Hmmm, have to decide what to do with the Polish..I may have to put the older one out
with the big girls now. He/she is getting ancy in that grow out pen. I know it will be chased
at first. Poor baby..the others are too small yet to out with the big girls, I know this cuckoo
can get away, no problem!

Ha, ara, just noticed you said...hatched! Me too on the Swedish Floweres..they went into lock down today!! Getting that humidity up and to stay up is the biggy now. I have 10 in lock down! That's a lot. I also have 12 Bantam Faverolles in there. I am trying something different, have wanted to try this, but haven't..so I am doing some in and some out of egg cartons. The Favorelles are in cartons. Also, I have the 6 Silkies in cartons in the other bator. Tiny pullet bantam eggs, a lot smaller than the egg above from my Silikie. We shall see what we shall see..come a few days, Swedish babies.

Thanks Sphinx, it was nice getting out after not even feeling like being up and about in the house. It was great seeing all of that color! I love that canyon for that.

As always... lots going on here!! Love the pics of the chicks and congrats to everyone with new eggs!!

Love the pics of Sundance's coop and the pics of your drive, Cynthia!!

MAking good progress on the coop expansion, should be able to have one part ready to put the birds in within about a week!!

Wanted to also add about the eggs I am planning on having in the spring... As far as the Marans go, I have FBCM pullets and a blue copper Marans roo, so the chicks will be 50% blue and 50% black, I love the blue feathering!!

My AMeracaunas are wheaten and blue wheaten, so the chicks will be a little of both, plus I will have eggs that will be EE's and OE's...

Eventually I REALLY want to breed the SFH's and those black tailed buff Marans of Michelles are also really pretty.. so we'll see how the current project goes...

Oh, the hatching eggs won't be available till spring=)

Hi and sorry I'm sooo behind

If it's not too annoying... I'm hosting a Shelf Reliance party tonite at my house... obviously none of you live close by, but you don't have to be present to order the THRIVE products if you are interested... PM me=)
