My BSL's eggs are quite pink...do you have a BSL waiting to lay? I saw one in your siggie but was thinking it was the one laying all over the yard a while back with babies or something. This is quite the mystery! Let us know what you find out!
I do have a BSL here, but she's been laying for a few weeks and her eggs are huge. The BSL I had in Tooele is kaput, this is the one I got as a chick for my mom.
Here are the girls who are old enough with pink-red faces who could be laying a pink egg:
-Angel, black Wyandotte, 5-6 months old. Her comb and waddles are very black, so it's difficult to tell when there's color there.
-Stevie, blue Wyandotte, 5-6 months old. Same story as Angel, but a little easier to see color on her face.
-Cookie, SLW, 5-ish months old. Her face is hot pink verging on red.
And the girls with paler pink faces:
-Serah, the 7-mo-old blue/tan EE I gave my brother. I doubt it's her, personally.
-Thelma, the 5-ish month old EE/BO cross I got from Cynthia. She hatched from an olive egg.
Other than those girls, I've got my blue Ameraucana that's still pink in the face (Nooo Jemma, don't let it be you!!) My EE/Leghorn cross, the Exchequer Leghorn, and my oldest Icelandic pullet. I really doubt it's any of these.
What do you think?
