What color is the silky roo?

Cyndiloo-thanks for that info! I was wondering what it meant. I was thinking Marans, Leghorn, as if they were to go in my shipment because those are the two I asked for....but it did not quite make sense. They were packed well, BUT they were on the mailtruck until 2:30 and felt ice cold. I hope they are not damaged

Have not candled yet, waiting til tonight. Crossies for the air cells to be ok!
If I remember correctly it is white

I had to go to IFA tonight to get some more feed for my girls. They eat it so fast, and I think it's partly because I'm feeding three adult turkeys. My mom went with me and we had fun looking at the chicks, but didn't get any. I got some grit to offer, after having read some of the recent discussion on here, and do you know what my mom bought?? Happy Hen Treats! Yes, my mom was the first one to buy meal worms for our chickens. She said she's been wanting to buy them for a while. When I mentioned to her at the checkout stand that I couldn't believe she was getting them, she made a face and said, "Well at least I didn't get the big bag!"

Guess what? It's been three weeks since I separated my Icelandics from the rest of the flock. I can start collecting eggs now for incubation. And I got one yesterday from Flekka

I received shipped eggs for the first time today! So excited! Wheaten ams. Now I hope that a) I can hatch them and b) that second incubator gets here soon. As far as I can tell, my own eggs that I set are doing well. I accidentally killed one thinking it wasn't developing but it was still moving when I opened it. So I won't be tossing eggs till after hatch time from now on unless they are leaking or stinking.

Woohoo! Hope there is a bullseye in there! She is such a beautiful girl.

I have good news too. My white crested blue Polish Frisco, that got hurt by the dog attack, and I nursed her back to health, is not limping anymore, feathers are growing in nicely, AND.....she laid me an egg today. The first since she got hurt. I am so happy :) I saw that egg in there and I was so proud of her, she is a survivor! I finally feel like she is going to be just fine, with no lasting damage. Whew!!

Yay for your eggs Lilwanis! Good luck with the hatching!
