Utah!

I got a scare when I checked on the chickens this morning. One of the Wheaten Ameraucana Hens was in the nest Box laying on her back with her feet in the air. Thought she was dead until she lifted her head to see what I wanted. Then she flipped back over and jumped out. Little Bugger.............

Just a reminder. i am heading to Spanish Fork this weekend. If anyone needs a chicken train i live in Lehi. I work in Salt Lake 5600 w 4700 s. So if anyone needs a train heading that direction just pm me. I would have to meet in the morning during the week for delivery to you. early morning, 6-6:30 am. But i could pick chicks up in the afternoon, after 5pm and and take to Lehi, Af, Eagle MT. Highland and Alpine.
Wow, you work really close to my home. I am just north east from your work. Be careful of that high school traffic- nothing scarier!

Well, except maybe USANA traffic, right?

That is NOT a nice prank to play on Mom! Stinker. Is that older Wheaten chick still staying tan and not blue? I am thinking this new one that hatched is a girl too. (Panicking because I am falling in love with her and then won't be able to part with her lol)

So, I better just say it out loud so I won't keep it...I have a nearly week old Wheaten Ameraucana chick for $5, from the pretty girls Blujems has. (originally from "azriel"). And FBCM hatching probably Monday if anybody wants some. :) All straight run.

I am coming to Blackfoot this weekend if any of you Id Falls friends want anything from down here :) Or to send anything back this direction....
Birdguy, did you get your turkeys (or was it turkey eggs?) delivered to Logan? Holler if you need a turkey train.

Yes this one is def. a hen. She has blue on her back but not like the rooster. She is so sweet and calm not like the buggers in the coop. They all run if I get too close.
How is the little Rooster? Still being quiet?

Sasha these ducks are the sweetest things I've ever seen! They came running to the door of the crate this morning and had no complaints about me reaching in to gather the two eggs I saw.

I love them!

Blujems, my showgirl rooster has not crowed once since that day. On the day he crowed, my husband opened the door to the garage, and the noise and cold just set him off, he would not stop. After the door got shut, back to peep peep sounds, not even a sign of an adult voice at all. How weird is that>!

Joy, those duck eggs look YUMMY!

Hahaha my Icelandic boys are dopey like that. They freak out if someone opens the garage door or moves fast or is moving something large around. What's worse is that one of them will imagine that he saw something alarming, and then they feed off of each other and get louder. That's about the point where I grab them and cuddle them, heh

I read that hens CAN crow...this one did not do the three syllable crow, it was more like the last syllable... not er er Eerrrrrrrr, just Eerrrrrrrr! over and over. Really loud. Different than any hen I have ever seen or had....so I could put my head in the sand and say MAYBE it is still a girl......haha I keep thinking that in the back of my head. But I think in the real world, it has to be a boy. It was just so loud, and so weird.
