I've thought about talking to them, but for various reasons, I don't think they will care. If she didn't obviously have puppies, I'd look into the after hours drop off kennel. We do have a motion activated sprinkler in the garden... maybe we need to move it. Thanks for the great idea!

Is Grumbles a speckled sussex? I've seen the breed but can't remember the name. Very pretty!

yes, speckled sussex...she is growing back her feathers nicely..took her from a friend to give relief from a roo. I have her on ksl for sell right now..some of my own pullets that I hatched are getting real ready to start laying..checking out the nest boxes..thank goodness, now let's hope they use them!

Grumbles lays a real nice med. size cream color egg. In a nest box!

Cute names everyone... I may just have to steal some.

She is very cool looking and I saw you hv her free now? How come you don't want to keep her? Age? My neighbor would take her I'm sure but she's out of town. I'm hoping to come to SL tomorrow and if you still hv her may pick her up. She doesn't hv any crawlies does she? (no offense meant but past experience makes me ask!).

Thanks, she is pretty. My chickens get their monthly DE treatment, she shouldn't have crawlies..I know what you mean. I always check first now, since my first experience! Sorry, I actually have someone coming today to pick her up. I am giving up older birds as my babies grow into laying. I have hatched out many, and have a couple that are getting ready to lay real soon here..checking out the nest boxes. I'm excited! You will be seeing another one on there when the next pullet wants to start laying. Then the last big girl. Actually they are all around the age of 1 and 20 months. I just want the ones I hatched this year. You will be seeing a bator on ksl for sell from me soon. I need to slow down!

NO FAIR! I want to live where I can have lots and lots of chickens. And maybe a goat, and a small horse..is there such a thing? And a cow, and why not, maybe even a little pig.

I missed that you live "down south"... so I'm glad she found a great home! Next time I do chicks I'll hv to add them to my list.

I still have some banty roos if anyone wants for breeding... EE's, barred rock, and OEB. Free if you won't eat them (tho there's not much to eat there lol).
