Utah!

Tellorton, congrats on the pheasants! If I wander around my back yard, I find one more often than not. And besides, though I love chicken, I also think chicken is delicious.

Madchicken, your hens are gorgeous. They look so fat and healthy.

Thanks, but actually i think they look pretty scraggly due to molting. They have lost a little weight with molting and the colder weather. You should see them during the summer, they look like meat birds. They have free range of the back yard. I have 6 fruit trees out there so the have fresh fruit all summer, right now the are eating red delicious and granny smith apples.

Tellorton, nice birds! You're making me hungry. I don't suppose you guys save the feathers off of those, do you?

Madchicken, love the pictures. That looks like our yard whenever we're trying to do anything out there. Our ladies are very good and helping to spread out our dirt/leaf/seed pod piles right after we've raked them up. And white bass you say? Wish I was coming

Cynthia, I keep forgetting to say so, but I looooove the Serama babies. I KNEW that one yellow one looked frizzle! So, so so cute.

Cynthia, Your Seramas are soooo pretty--especially where some have frizzling in their feathers!

Brain, I hope someone gives your cat a good new home. That is very good-hearted of you to take him in & socialize him to help ready him for a good adoption.

Thanks you Speckled. How are you doing? Do you still have the same amount of chickens as the last time we talked? Or have you gotten more?

I got one and my dad got. Sorry to all you chicken lovers but they taste so good

Tell, those are nice! This is the first time I've seen your dad. Haven't met him person, but sure have talked with your mom a lot. She's a great lady!
And, yes indeed, pheasant are good! I've had my fair share back in the day when I went hunting for them too. :)

He is actually my step dad. When I was three my dad died in a car accident. It's not much of a hunt anymore I'm thinking of hatching a hole bunch and letting them go so that there is more around

Good idea! I would like to hatch a bunch of redgoldens and see if they would just run around our field...but not sure how they would do in the wild/slash/domesticated if I put food and water out for them. I really like the Lady Amherst' too :)

Does anybody know how that works?
