Great! Do I have to cook it up, or can I just give it to them? What about canned Vegs, like green beans, peas and corn. I'm thinking not because they probably have a lot of sodium in them.

I'm so excited! I just ordered some flower seeds for my collection for the year![]()
I have been storing seeds for years, both store bought and ones that I've collected by hand from plants I come across. Tonight I got white yarrow, peppermint, wild bee balm, and daisies. I love plants that can be used for their medicinal or nutritional properties, so I'm really excited to get my garden going this year. Eee!
Ace, that bag just rocks. I was hoarding a bunch of my empty feed bags for a while to make something out of them, then ended up tossing them because I couldn't figure out what to use them for. Dangit!
I haven't been able to do much gardening in the past couple of years. It's mostly been squash, tomatoes, or other vegetables, but I'm really anxious to get an herb garden going, along with some flowers. This year I want to plant seeds and bulbs from stuff I've collected, which includes irises, columbines, hollyhocks, lavender, cilantro, alfalfa, rock tulips, echinacea, chamomille, and others......I forget what I have. I'd like to get my hands on some feverfew and garlic, as well. I have some onions going, but I may try to get more of those. I love onions and garlic. Aaaand I wouldn't mind some lemon grass, while I'm making a wish list, lol. I took some wheat kernels from the feed I use for my girls and soaked them for a day, then planted them as an experiment. They were already sprouting when I put them in their pot. If I can find any oats, millet, or barley at the bottom of the feed barrel that isn't smashed, I may try planting some of those, as well. Sorry, I'm a garden nut![]()
And I have a mint start from Sphinx. I hope it survives the winter. And I'm getting a dwarf mulberry plant.....
