Utah!

Cynthia, you definitely have it the closest :D I did buy 2 of those fluffy faced EE's, and barred Rocks, and GSL's (RIR is close!) Oh and lastly one BSL. Mine is old this year so I wanted another to replace her. So 7 chicks, 4 breeds.

I remember bargain used that picture of yours to advertise, it was such an adorable picture with the pink fabric, that is why I saved it--i used it for my desktop background for awhile :D

Ok my turn--let's see, I really think you got yourself an EE too---they were just too fluffy for you to pass up right? and---GSL? and a leghorn? I know you miss your Miss Piggy. one of each? And feed of course. ;)
I am trying to remember the breeds you have been wanting....but I can't remember for sure.

Silly--yes you are right that is not quite the blue I am looking for....that one looks just like my blue partridge silkie, has more of the tan/orange accents. Cute little guy though! Keep your eyes peeled for me!

I so wish one of mine would have worked out for you. Since I can't keep all 6 of them, hope I can place them on here in a few long weeks, so I can see how they turn out. I'll keep my eye out, I'm watching out for local Americana Hatching Eggs for Easter, I need some color layers. And I really want to set and try to hatch for Easter. Even though I can't keep them, I just want too, have to put that incubator to use, right? We need to finally move, we've talked about it for years about selling this house and getting some land, even before chickens, now I just want to have my own little projects with Rosters. I got the crazy chicken lady bug for sure. :D

I went alllll the way to the IFA at 2100 S to get a Delaware. I called a bunch of IFA and Cal Ranch locations and they were the only ones with Any Delawares. I wanted one two years ago when I started out. Ut they were only straight run. We also got a white leghorn and an Australorp. Friday the IFA in Riveeton will be getting Marans, and then with the babies from Lisa I will be set.

How long would you keep hens that aren't laying? I have an EE and an Exchequer leghorn that are both at the bottom of the pecking order and neither are laying. The other 5 have been laying regularly again for a about a month although some started in December. So Im frustrated with these two. I never thought I would let go of hens that weren't laying, but this will let me add more babies...

Ohhh, you know me all to well. Karen got one right too.

I got one EE..I couldn't believe those muffs! I got two Red/buff sex links, what ever they want to call them, and one leghorn. I do have a Miss Piggy right now..actually two leghorns, but have to have a new one to place Angel by summer. She's the oldest and I didn't hatch her. I want to keep my Miss Piggy I hatched, and she did start laying later..soo, what to call this new little leghorn. Very active little stink. :) I will post photos of my EE Lisa, if you will. Oh, I picked out two for Brandi..EE's that is..when she heard they had them, she wanted a couple. Soooo cute.

Ok deal! I got a dark one, because the really chocolate sometimes turn out columbian colored (or they are boys and go black and white haha) But I wanted to take another chance... then I got a standard chipmunk that just kept tilting its head and looking at me so curious, and it was just so cute I could not stand it. haha :D I can't wait to see yours too!

This is the fat one. She is soooo fat. I am hoping that meant she came from a nice big egg!

Soooo that was interesting. We just had an explosion in our neighborhood about fifteen minutes ago, and when I poked my head out the door, I could hear the cops on the megaphone. Gotta hand it to ya, West Valley. You CAN still surprise me.

Lisa, I love your chocolate chick!

Sundance, you sound like me with the plant hoarding

The Seramas are doing great. I unplugged their light yesterday to give them "night", since it's so warm, and I forgot to plug it back in for half the day.......Turns out that was just what Mr. Sammy needed to get frisky with the girls! Who knew. I've never seen them move so fast, haha.

Geez Red I hope all is ok in your neighborhood! I saw on the news they got the burglary ring in your area. That is good news! It will be interesting to find out what is going on with the explosion. Be safe!

These are supposed to be pullets right? Oh man, I didn't even look, I just assumed.
Here is my baby, and the light one is Brandi's. Then a group shot..I'll try and explain who's who in it.
Lisa, yours are darling. I thought about getting one that was a chocolate color..but was strong..oh so strong. :D

She seems to have some blue, but a lot of black on the back. I have one out there now
that had a light face like this, and now she has a black muff. You never know with these EE's,
they change so much.

I just may have to call her...Muffin! lol..

This little one may be a splash..it has a blue tint on it's back..all the way down. Brandi's.

I got one real dark red, and one light golden sex link..they were all
in the same place, just darks and lights.

The lighting is always an orange hue when I take pictures of them in the bator. Oh well,
you can see the leghorn in the back. That little tiny blue up front is the silkie I just hatched
she is so tiny against all of the others, but there is a blue cochin on the right, tiny too..it's behind
Brandi's baby that I took a photo of above, you can see the light blue hue on here. The blue
up close is a LF Cochin..for sale. :) Very pretty. I'm keeping the other chipmunk looking
one in the middle. Her coloring looks almost lavender, hard to tell here. That other puffy
cheeked baby next to the leghorn is the other one for Brandi. It is more of a silver coloring
with some dark brown. My baby EE is is the corner, along with the two Sex links.
They are doing pretty good.

You sure got some cute ones! Love the EE's, ameraucanas, whatever muffy faced little critters. They are irresistable!
Your GSL's look so fat and nice. I bet you will get some big eggs from those!
