Hey every one. Lisa(casa de Polo) told me this is the place to talk chickens. Right now I'm looking for some fertile eggs . I would like to start a batch this Monday .

I don't have any roosters right now. Working on that. Sold them in the early winter because we put them in the garage at night and it was a pain. I have a hodge podge of hens...you can see the breeds in my siggie. More than I should. I am a chicken-aholic. I want to get a roo for my silkie and showgirl pen soon, and am looking for a FBCM rooster, I have some chicks growing out from Sphinx and I can see I have a few in the making already, but hoping to find an older one soon to put with my girls for spring egg and chick selling. I found one on the Idaho thread, I am from there and go there quite a bit, but not sure if that is my boy. :D

Are there certain breeds you are wanting to get?
 
I just started this year and bought tons of different kinds . Now I'm trying to get about8breeds and hatch my own so I don't spend money on new ones also to sell . I am also looking for some(already laying)hens Americana s and buff s . For hatching I would like almost anything

I have a few pullets and hens for sale...2 purebred Naked Neck Turkens, 2 Red sex links (under 10 months old) from a Delaware Hen and RIR Rooster--, a GSL that is 12 months, and a few older gals that are getting to the 2 yr mark.
No Ameraucanas or Buffs though. I will keep my eye out....Maybe someone on here will have some for ya! Good luck!
 
Hehe, I have been putting my roos in the garage every night for over a year and a half............I just refuse to get rid of them. I love my boys. It will be nice when they have a lot more room to run around.

So obviously my neighborhood didn't get burned down by godzilla or anything. I don't know what happened last night, but it's not on KSL, so whatever. I'm writing it off as yet another day in the hometown. And, I'm not sure yet, but I think that my mystery dark-pink-egg-layer is one of my little mixed breed pullets who has Leghorn in her. This is baffling, though, because those eggs are HUGE, and she's only the size of a small Leghorn.

That is a lot of work! Especially in the freezing cold! Your boys are lucky ones indeed.
