Utah!

Here is my white leghorn mix. I'm thinking its crossed with an EE it has green skin and green legs. At least that's what Cynthia says. It hasn't started laying yet but close I hope it's a greenish egg.

If this birds has a pea comb it will lay an egg with some blue in it. Either a blue or green. If it's a straight comb it won't.

Here you go Karen...time to think of what you will have to set on the 29th. :)

I already signed up. I'm getting some OE's from Wendy, and I might get some EEs from someone in Lindon. Just trying to decide how many chicks I want to have to rehome.

Red-Thanks for the video, today was crazy with cookies all day long, but I think tomorrow I'm going to cut them off cold turkey. And just watch them like a hawk. Nervous momma.

So this is what my house looks like. 4006 boxes of cookies. Gary I have your cookies. let me know if you want to come get them or meet up sometime. I could meet up on Wed.

Geez Karen, you have your work cut out for you! Good luck!

Ace, the mixed eggs did not hatch, not a single one. Dang. After looking in them they either did not develop or stopped really soon after I set them. Must have been the fridge or the age, but it was fun trying!

The SBEL's go into lockdown tomorrow, the CCL X Leghorn---crossing fingers, so far they look good!

Bummer! Well, it was worth a try!

Boo. I candled my CCL X Leghorn eggs, (shipped from Far Away in the dead cold a few weeks ago...) I have not candled them since I set them and checked the air cells. Boo. They were mostly clear. There are a few wrigglers, the rest never developed, not even blood, I checked them and they were just stinky yolks. Ahhh, Kimmy I do not know if I will have more babies for you after all. :(

On another note....I have kept several (down to 14) FBCM and Olive Egger chicks I hatched from Sphinx, and the roosters are rearing the ugly ( although one day very beautiful!) heads haha....so anybody wanting a FBCM or Olive Egger Roo from Sphinx's birds?? I don't have my calendar out, I think they are almost 4 weeks old though. You are welcome to the whole lot of boys, I see several. I want to get them outta here while I can so that the brooders are thinned down. If someone wanted to take them all, you might get lucky and get a pullet...it's hard to be positive on these...but I want to keep only the most girly looking ones, and one that is the most boyish. It is looking like the females I have here are mostly OE's, of course with the FBCM all but one look like boys. (I swear this breed is like 90 percent male chicks, I have the worst luck with them lol)
