Utah!

Nope she is tiny, like a male size Robin. I will probably have a white silkie available in a few months. Sundance is taking 3 of them and I'm keeping 2 whites and then the one that I have to see what it will look like, with was a white chipmunk, but its going partridge, so I will probably have 2 more Silkie available around May when I can hopefully sex them.

Thanks! I am really hoping that my silver one is a girl as well :) I think I guessed wrong on the coloring though, after looking it up....

I'm pretty certain my black one is a japanese bantam... that picture and the one I was looking at are pretty much dead on.... I hope they're all females... the Japanese bantams have two different colored babies, ones that have more white on them, and then the more black one. The way they had it pictured, makes me think that the more black one is a male

They only had like 1 or 2 of those NN's left when I was there this morning, they are much more cute in person lol!

I think my little chipmunk one could be having a tough time... it's weird to me though, it'll pop up and run around a bit, and I see it eating and drinking, but then it will go back to sleeping... it's sleeping more than the others... maybe it's just extra tired, and just catching up on some zzz's. Those tiny ones keep getting stepped on lol, poor things :)

Thats why I prefer IFA as they have all the breeds separated so you know what your getting most of the time

I just looked at IFA..they didn't have any bantams. We aren't as lucky as you all up north. In fact, I've never seen any bantams at our IFA..ever. ??

Now that I am not eating any more, how about a friendlier post? I seem to recall seeing that congrats are in order to Red??!? The things that happen when you disappear for months on end. I have been super busy cleaning and prepping and remodeling my house so that I can sell it. Hopefully we will find that perfect urban homesteader for our house it is a good size house with a huge lot for the area, so hopefully we can sell it fast. We put an offer on a house in Bluffdale, and it was accepted. We have financing to either sell or rent our current house, but we would rather not be landlords. I would rather take the equity and put it into the new house. The new place has a two acre lot, is agricultural and big enough for our huge family. I am so excited I can hardly stand it....and nervous about being able to sell our current home.

The downside is that I may need to start over with my chickens. There are not outbuildings at the new place and my chicken palace may be impossible to move. My poor marans girl is super broody. I haven't been able to break her for about a month now. Come to find out, her older sister, that my friend has, is super broody for the second time. So...now looking for eggs. Since all my roosters are in the freezer, they won't be coming from here.
