Ok, here's pics. The first one is before and from what I can see appears much better in the pics than real. It was cleaned off the best I could without irritating the area more, and was able to tuck it in somewhat. I smothered the area with a mixture of A&D Ointment and Arnica creme before trying to put it back in. The edges of "whatever this is" is a little dried out and not looking quite so much as "insides" now. No clue if that's good or bad....

She was a very good girl. Gave her another 81mg aspirin and force fed a little warm oatmeal. Took away all protein. She was drinking water & pecking a tad at the scratch on her own earlier.

Thanks for your help!

Whew, I'm glad bird man can help..that is something else! Good luck.
Sorry I couldn't come up with something, I've never seen anything like that before..no wonder you said you couldn't find anything on the net.

Thought I would throw this out there. I have a beautiful blue Ameraucana. She will start laying soon, I know by Sept. at the latest. I would really like to find a rooster to breed her to once she gets to laying well.
I live in Spanish Fork. Anyone close by that would be willing to breed your beautiful Ameraucana roo to?
Thanks! Can Post a picture of her soon.

After looking at this again, did you think to post it on the illness thread? Someone there may have gone through the same thing. Or is...

Sorry, should have added this last night. I'm also looking for a young buff orpington that is just laying. Anyone?

Are you looking for one to keep? We have a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana we'd love to rehome. He's a pretty boy. Message me if interested.

No, that's the problem, can't have roosters! Just hoping someone has a roo and a place to keep mine and a couple of yours in a certain place for a while. Blue Wheaten ey?

They would make pretty babies!
