Utah!

What!?!? That is a modern day miracle!!!!!

lol..that's what I thought. I know they can do weird things/eggs when they start laying, but this? One thing that came up as I posted this else where was...wind egg..and, are you sure there wasn't another pullet that went in after her?
No other pullet went in after her. She is the only one out there that is laying a colored egg now..no others coming up. The next one will be my Rhodebar, which I though should have gone before her, but she won the who lays first contest. :) Double time! She really looked miserable in there.

So, no one oh here does duck eggs, or has? Need to know how far along these babies are! Had a friend bring them by.
I took photos of two different eggs. A picture of each side... first egg, one side

First egg again, second side...

Second egg, first side...

Second egg, other side

I think these babies are more than two along like he thought. Well, he said, I think,
she has been on them for two weeks now. Call duck eggs should incubate 26 to 28 days.

My two broody's that are sharing a nest box and eggs have hatched 3 chicks. These are the ones my bantams were sneaking in and laying eggs under the two girls. 2 of the chicks are 6 days old and 1 is 3 days old. i looked at the rest of the eggs tonight and 3 are still going strong. they look like they are around 2 weeks along. I'm not sure what to do about the 3 remaining eggs. the hens are still sitting on them and the little chicks seem the be doing fine and are growing. I'm wondering if i should take the Lotte eggs away from the hens and put them in my incubator or just leave them and see what happens. i am hoping 1 of the hens will stop sitting and start raising the little chicks. I will have to get some pictures tomorrow. 2 are white but showing blue coming in under their fluff. Splash??? Oh and they have really high vaults. Yes!!

I love it when i order feed and i get home at the end of the day and they have stacked it on a pallet for me right in front of my gate.

You didn't see my response, did you? :) I don't have experience with Call ducks but I just did some Silver Appleyards. It should be a page or two back but there is a link that I think will really help you.

Oh..thank you..I didn't see that, but that is a chart that I have been studying! Thank you. Had one gal that hatches ducks, saw the photo and says..those eggs are VERY close to hatching! Get the humidity up to 70%. Oh wow. Says to watch for rocking and pips. Yep.
