Utah!

I figured I'd join in the fun and post some flock pics too :)

My three turkeys are Midget Whites I got from Pawtraitart, Tom, Jake and Pearl. The ducklings have grown up into such beauties!! You can't tell but they have a band of blue feathers on their wings.

Here are a few photos of the little greased lightning chick I got from Gary. He was a little bugger to catch!! His feet are super fluffy and he is getting some brown in his feathers from the BLRW.

Ruby and Penny are my red frizzly girls.

Last but not least my sweet little truffle the Chocolate Orpington chick I hatched from Amanda's eggs. I couldn't get my Cream Legbar to grace me with her presence, but I will get a picture of her on here too one of these days.

I love your ducks! They look like they're smiling :)
Your little Truffle girl is so cute! Is her personality as sweet and easy-going as advertised?

I am selling some of my younger birds. If any catches your interest let me know. Putting them on KSL this weekend. Need to make room for the seven that just hatched under the broody's and the seven that i have in the incubator.

still not sure about these two. The splash has this big hump on its back but only on one side. Kind of like a hunch back. It was born this way so i figured i would give it a chance. the dark one is a nice looking bird. Should make a good hen/rooster for breeding. About 14 weeks old

Sorry about the quality but these little buggers are fast!
Smooth sizzle. about 9 weeks old

Here is the other smooth. I'm keeping the frizzled one for now. Hope its a pullet.
These little smooth have big beards and big crowns all ready, they will be really neat looking when the mature.
I also have two mixed chicks that I'm not sure who the hen was. One is completely wild and has been on its own since it was about 3 weeks old. It was sleeping in a bush but i think it has joined the main flock in the big coop. The other is a little drama queen and requires the momma Silkies full attention. Guess this is what happens when you are an only child. Either you a mommas boy or a trouble maker.

Got our first egg today! A little brown one. We think it's from Laverne the lavender orpington.

Getting ready for the proposal to allow chickens in Roy City again. Any residents here who want to give a quote or have a friend who would give a quote why we should have chickens or wouldn't mind being neighbors with them?

You can quote me saying chickens are great for human blood pressure and the fresh eggs are like having a garden year round. Very healthy. They make some noise but not nealy as much as a barking dog. Sign the quote Lady Diana Scott AKA sundancenbare

Red, do your turkeys mind water? Mine will wade in the duck pond!! I was so shocked but they seem to like the cool water on hot days.

Mine didn't mind water, for the most part. We would put the hose on in the yard to make a little stream, and they would wade through the resulting swamp. I sure miss my BBW babies. I think my bronze hen is more picky about getting her feet wet, though. I don't know about the BS jakes I have. They're pretty people shy.

Kunzler, congrats! :)
