Thanks red, and you are right..so excited, and nervous at the same time. The Stake President says, come at 3:00 to release him, because he is leaving town at 4:00! He says that a counselor can do it, but he would like to..at his work at BYU..lol. Will see, Austin will arrive at 1:00 that day, and that's if the plane gets their on time. If so, still, that's pushing it.. getting luggage, hugs all around, and photos, we must have photos!

Hey, who ordered the tornado weather? It's been blowing like crazy here all night. I'm glad I didn't lose any chickens out of the tree they roost in, lol.

Haha. My coworker said her kids were afraid for their pigs and wanted to bring them inside! Haha! It has been blowing like crazy here too... And it's super dusty!

Lisa! The little silkie shows no sign of frizzling... But it's little feathers look just like the other chicks. When do they star silkieing?

It is a sizzle...so that means it will either frizzle or be hard feathers---called a "smooth sizzle". Just wait, the ones with smooth feathers have gotten so cute! And they get the cutest crests at about 6 weeks. It will start to curl if it is a frizzle by about two weeks.

Tomorrow is day 21 and I am going nuts like its christmas waiting to see little chickies, ahhh lol. I sure hope they all hatch ok. Dixie has been such a great momma so far covering these eggs, i am very proud of her. :)

Hey, I'm the friend!

While my overwhelming preference is a Polish, I'd consider a second special needs hen as well. Or if you have an especially docile hen that wouldn't kick the butt of a special needs hen in a smaller enclosure, I'd consider that as well.

Can anyone help with that? Thanks!

Edit: P.S. - No roosters! I'm not zoned for them!

Hey Jen.

I have a 19 week old special needs Breda fowl that would be a terrific match she is so gentle (most breda are)we call her Egore she walks with a little hitch and has no tail( looks like a hunch back) she dosent move around much, and gets left be hide from all the others(she cant keep up)she is really sweet and has never been mean to anyone. she really could use a gentle friend to sit buy and not worry about being picked on.she try's to snuggle up to some of the other hens but they dont spend to much time with her. she is lonely.she may be just what you need Stands with a fiddle. i'm in is taylorsvile (SLC)

Sounds like a perfect match for my friend's chicken.
