Just wanted to give a shout out, that I'm new to the site. We just move into our house in Bountirul and are excited to learn I can have chickens and my wife can have bees. Appreciate the wealth of knowledge here. I'm looking at building a combination of "Missouri Mansion", "The Palace","Boisemarker's Coop" and the "Taj Mahal". Any advice from those of you that have built their own.
Really, you think it could be a frizzled silkie rather then the sizzle?? I hope so! I was just discussing the differences between the two variations with someone last week and I decided I kinda like the frizzled variety more since they still appear closer to the silkie look. I agree she is gorgeous. She's the main one I wanted when I saw the pics of you you posted. The others were just a bonus but when I saw her unique coloring, and huge vault/fluffy cheeks I knew I had to have her lol. The curly feathers was a total surprise but I am really liking it. I love how her wings are coming in silver, but she still has a fair amount of buff. I am sure she's going to turn out very lovely. I will keep updating pics of her for youIluv, that Sizzle is looking so pretty. I almost keep her,i really did! She looks to have gotten the frizzled Silkie feathering. They are very pretty and unique when mature. The closest i got to having one was a bird i sold last week. She was around 6-8 weeks old and was not even close to what yours looks like at the same age. I cant wait to see how she turns out.
Speaking of Sizzles i have 2 roos i would like to re home. They are both splash and very small. They are not crowing yet but are around 5 months if i remember. I could even run them to salt lake area or the opposite direction Spanish Fork(Cynthia). I have a friend that bought 5 of the hatch mates and two are roos. They have already started crowing and fighting between themselves.
Merry Christmas!!! My first quail is hatching today! Its my Xmas present to me![]()
