I'm so sorry for the loss of your rooster. That would be so tough, especially since he wasn't that old.


Ok guys, baddish news. Dh is fussing with the wine fridge, and he's pretty sure it's just a little $2 relay part that's broken, and he thinks he's going to be able to fix the wine fridge.

So, I may have to watch for another wine fridge that's MORE broken.

I'm hearing peeps!!

My NH's hatched today..starting just after midnight last night..or morning, or something like that...anyway, got 8 out of the beginning 13. I already have 4 sold when they are ready to go. I want to keep two. Those little fluff balls are soo cute. Now here's the funny thing about this hatch. These are supposed to be alll NH. Can you imagine my surprise when the second one was black? Then there was a black one that didn't make it. So two of them. I wrote the guy, he was good to write back quickly. He said that one of his Australorps probably got into the NH run and laid. Oh well, they are cute. He offered to refund me for them, but I told him that I may want more in a month or two, then he could throw a couple of extras in there. These are great birds that are friendly and lay well. Will post pictures after Christmas...

I'm going to join Cynthia in the crazy category- I have some eggs in my little brinsea advance right now. I candled last night (at 7 days along), and saw 6 wiggling babies. There was veining in the 7th, but I didn't see actual movement.
