Utah!

Red, love the garden nectar, I do believe we have some of that 'round here as well. It must be native to Utah? I don't know the proper name of the lower pile, but I do believe the offerings in the bowl are from the Eplurias plenty family.

I was changing out the the bedding of pine shavings the other day, when the grandson stopped by for a visit. The birds find him to be of great interest, and he decided to let them have a look at his hot wheel collection, well… the ones he takes with him. It was said that they passed inspection. My grandchildren seem to enjoy the chickens a great deal. I think they are good for them.

Everyone have a nice weekend,

RJ

RJ, love the pictures, especially of your grandson! Such a captive audience.

Some of you may remember wendy(Sphinx), and how she used to broadcast her hatches. Well, I am happy to present Ace's Chick Cam! I'm going to start broadcasting my hatches too so that friends and family can love vicariously through me! ;) this first hatch is expected on the 18th or 19th!

Fruits of my labor…

A nice collection of brown, a few white and a lot of Banty eggs. Even my little Serama's are pitching in a contribution every so often. Perhaps I should start to weight them.

Best to all and your birds,

RJ

RJ, I think the lower harvest from my garden is Scrapus domesticus. Pretty sure, anyway. Love the picture with your grandson!

Ace - Way to go! That sounds fun :)

Happy Love Day, everyone <3

i decided to make a small movable run that i can put a few girls in or rabbits so i can give more time for them to be in the garden or on the lawn without me having to watch them all the time. it will be something i can put between garden rows etc. can also use it as a grow out pen. only spent about $20 on it so not bad. been needing to build one of these for a long time

Birdman, that sounds great! Good job :) I ought to make a little tractor pen to move around the yard. That was kind of what we did with the run at my mom's house in the garden. It's how we got rid of a big fat thistle, haha ;)

9/12 eggs. Just three more to go (or more, if I get them) and I'll have a proper batch of eggs for the incubator :) Hopefully the Icee girls lay again today!
