Utah!

Red, I have been following your collection for a hatch with great interest, I do hope this goes well. Also, I have news of my Mouse Trap…

No, not that one, these beauties below, The Bates Motel and the Hotel California.

In the two settings I have done, the Bates has three guests, and the Hotel California has registered two. These things seem to work quite well, and being able to catch more than one per day is a very nice feature.

I thought about picking up some chicks over the weekend, but somehow resisted. I do so love their fuzzy little heads and sounds.

The DW also captured this shot of King Tut (Golden Sebright) and Oreo (Silver Sebright) on the back lawn last evening. Things are looking good.

Off to church, best to you and your birds,

RJ

10/12! And it looks as if Miss Summer is working on an egg under the tack shed, which would make eleven total. I've got the incubator plugged in to warm up :)

RJ, I have to be careful in the feed stores around this time of year. I call it the siren song. Those chicks just make my heart melt. I even like the baby NN's and their little toupees, hehehe :)

Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday.

One dozen eggs - we're in business, baby!

400

Just for fun, I have names written on several of them so I kind of know who is who. I have Star, Spring, Flower, and Spot. Was going to name the rest, but DH made a remark about me getting too attached :( That kind of killed my enthusiasm for names.

I think I'll set these tomorrow morning, if the bator temps are stabilized by then.

Edit: Okay, they're named 1-12. Anyone want to guess which numbers will hatch?

I went to a couple of lea markets today. Was really surprised they were selling mutt chicks at one of them really pretty babies. Tomorrow I am going to the Arabian show in Scottsdale. I am told its the largest horse show in the world. Probably won't have chicken stuff for sale but you never know. It was 85 here today getting hot
