Awww that's very sweet of you, Sambi. I am looking forward to trying this one, after all of the good reviews for Brinsea. I got a 24 egg capacity one, too, which had DH bugging out.

DH: 24 eggs?! Ho-ly crap!

Me: the other ones only fit 7 at a time. I need one that can do at least a dozen.

DH: and they don't have any that just hold a dozen?

Me: No, but they have the big cabinet ones that hold 48 or more. I don't want one that big.

DH:....... Okay.........

he he..too cute. You learn fast.

You are welcome very much.

I'm catching up with you all..man..little visitors that you are lately! Love it. Everyone sounds so excited about hatching and having baby chicks again..and..it's supposed to get into the 50's here by the weekend ... won't help with those that are trying to be good when they go into the store, see chicks..can't blame cold weather anymore.

West Jordan 84081!! I'm new at this and extremely nervous since I only have 8,000 square footage lot in a quiet neighborhood. Im hoping to learn from people with similiar yard size and would love to check out your coop.

Get a bator! Join the Easter Hatch A Long..lots of help there for beginners, unless you
have hatched before, then you can help answer questions. :)

REDIII; the forum is 'rockin' cause of you… you are hot stuff and everyone is going crazy happy for you. Me too. It might have fallen from fashion, but that saying, "You go Girl!" comes to mind. Anyway, glad everyone is in enabler ecstatic cataract convulsions, EECC for short. No known cure.

For the past while I have been working on a method of 'detaining' the love of my Banty Roosters, from my poor overworked hens. Being from the sixties, I thought all the world needs now is love, sweet love, Give peace a chance, Aquarius let your love shine in, etc. etc. But it would seem there CAN be too much love in the world, at least in chicken circles. Thusly I have been working on a Rooster pen, my grandson called it a chicken jail… I suppose they both work. I think that on the morrow, there will be a lot less love in the world. This is what I have come up with, a portable pen, about seven feet by eight feet and four and a half feet high at the peak. Seems to be sturdy enough and I can move it alone if needed. I attached a dog house to the wooden end plug and the plug to the pen. It might work as a grow out pen, time out place, who knows what wonders await a crafty bird keeper. Over grass and dirt I will attach some hardware cloth apron to the outside bottom edge. I will most likely use rings so as I can just lift them up and quick tie them so as to move the pen and chicken house.

I found the pen at Cal Ranch in Harrisville, north of Ogden. I think I would like to attach some of that shade cloth to the roof, anyone use this for a purpose such as this. I mounted the dog house to the plywood plug with eight screws that my driver can zip in and out in a moment to move the portable pen. Just sharing my thoughts and ideas with the kind folks here.

RC and his gals this A.M.

The little people…

Best to all and their 'bators 'n birds,

RJ
