I have a leghorn, a red sexlink, and a RIR that are a couple of weeks old Silly, that came from Cal Ranch. They are very healthy, outside in the nursery under a 100 W. bulb for the night. Good layers for sure..$5.00 each. A good start for her. And, I have a lot that will be hatching for Easter. Just had a gal bring by the eggs from her flock..love the Olive Eggs she gets. And, wesummer eggs. Just one of those though. Plus, I wlll be hatching Marans..mostly blue from the sound of it, and, some silkies. All new babies at Easter.

Let me ask her if she would like those or if she wants tiny's. She has a Cherry Egger and an EE left from her last flock. They are all a year old this month.

I want to get me some Maran's but I need to wait for either to hatch some out or buy some from when I get home from my Parents. I figured if I did hatch some, they can just go with me there and back home since we are driving.

But I might have to take someone up on their Maran chicks if I don't hatch any or don't have a Silkie want to be a mom by mid-April. Because I want to get 2 new Marans. I want or I should say I really NEED a Frizzle, and my Ollie NN is 2 this year, so I need a new NN to replace her this year too. That way next spring my 3 year olds can go to the farm in Bluffdale.

I don't know about you, but I just went (for bedding for the laying boxes), and ended up with four Leghorns...

Silly, can you have roos? I'm thinking not..did you see my black frizzle? Boy, just started to crow. Put a collar on him today, didn't hear anything yet..will see in the morning!

My Wheaten Marans eggs are hatching! The first ones I set, from my pretty girl, all three are pipped, woot! I collected another batch and set them to hatch in 10 days, I had no idea if they were fertile so I am super excited. I am gonna set them all for awhile I cant believe the old boy has been mating her, I had no idea.

Also a first--the SBEL hens' eggs are hatching (Olive egger chicks), they are ALWAYS black or blue chicks, these are all white!? What the heck is that about??!! Same mom and dad as always. So weird.

Closest to that I have hatched .....eggs from a FBCM hen and a Blue Frizzle silky roo (Ernie)
