Utah!

Hey Sphinx glad to see you back on here :D

Sambi I am hatching OE's pretty regularly if you are ever up this way. I have another batch hatching Sunday/Monday, 14 are reserved but I think there will be extra, if not there are more hatching 5 days after that. They are really nice dark olive egg layers...they have been selling for $6 straight run.

Sundance, drive safely! Will be good to have you back around here in these parts...

I'm back! I think my life is calmed down enough to where I can be a more constant presence here. I finished remodeling the HUD home we bought in October and we moved in back in January. My chicken coop is almost complete here, and then I'll move most of my chickens over. I'm hopefully posting my old house for sale in the next day or two, so only having one house will be easier.

In my chicken world, I've lost a few hens over the winter, most likely due to old age. I have to accept the fact that most of my flock is older. I did hatch two fbcm about 6 weeks ago, and they're coming along nicely. I'm pretty sure one is a pullet. Iffy on the other one. Has a pullet-y face, but I saw a glimpse of copper on it, and I've never seen copper in a pullet this young. I have some olive eggers incubating at the preschool that are due in two weeks. Hoping to go candle tomorrow to see how they're doing.

Sundancen, have a safe drive back. I hope it goes nicely. I'm sorry I didn't visit you when I was in AZ. I didn't have anywhere near as much time as I was hoping.

I miss you guys!!

I promised Brian I'd post tonight. I was the one who posted the incubator for sale. I feel bad that I didn't offer it up to you guys first, but at least one of you got it, right?

Brian bought your bator? That is so Ironic. He's sitting in my living room waiting for this lady to let him know of a time to meet. It was you! Glad things are settling down for you. Yes, we have missed you. :)

I did and I couldn't be happier. I like these still air incubators. I also don't mind turning them by hand:) I've met almost everyone on here in person except for a few. It's great to meet you guys:)

yay! I can't wait to see those babies!
I will be posting alot of pics of them. I will have a few for sale as well. They will be faverolle mixed with Easter eggers, booted turken, RIR, leghorn and marans barred rock mixes. I will have some pure faverolles ad soon as I can find some hens. I just can't get over fluffy faced chickens Lol. Faverolle and ee mixes will be a fun breed. Would be awesome if the ees got his black beard:)

Ughhh, can I just vent for a second? Feel free to skip this post.

I am finding out that male ducks can be pretty hard on females when breeding, and I only have one girl with my boy. I love my boy because he is calmer than the girl, and if he ends up too aggressive as an adult, I may have to get rid of him. I am afraid to try and get another female duck because I told DH I only want these two and we've got the chickens and the turkeys, aside. So my options would be to rehome the drake or rehome some of my other birds, and I just can't do that :( I so am not enjoying this prospect.

I am so sorry you have to go through that. It seems like though, the same old story when it comes to boys. Girl finds boy, boy swoons girl with his pretty feathers and sweet temperament. But boy only has one thing on his mind . . . I don't know much about ducks except how cute they are. Sorry I don't have any advice but I'll always be willing to listen and agree with you. That is definitely a hard predicament. good luck and let us know how it turns out.

we had to delay our departure a day. So its pretty funny having all these serama rooster on my patio in the RV park crowing up a storm. They aren't loud but the modern game is really loud. I'm sure my neighbors will be happy when we leave
