Lisa, what's your OE mix? I'm hatching some OE for a preschool right now.

Brian, with that fan in there, it may be more of a forced air than still air. I'd mess with the temperatures and figure out what is best. I hope you have great success with it.

Red, I get your frustration. I feel like the nature of this hobby is to slowly expand, and at some point, you have to stop, and that's painful.

I thought I'd share with you the coop we're building at our new house. I'm pretty excited about it. It's going to have a "living roof" so that I can plant some stuff on the top. I'm thinking lower lying grass or ground plants. That little hinged area to the right of the door is my feeder. I can put an entire 50 lb bag of feed in there and it slowly works its' way down as it goes.

The inside has more of the vinyl flooring that I bought for my last coop. I will eventually get a sign for it that says "The Egg Plant"

I haven't noticed the fan turn on. Is it supposed to stay on or does it only come on every once in a while?

Sphinx I set up the incubator last night and did a test run. It's held a temperature of exactly 100 all night long. I think it's safe to say I'm going to be putting eggs in it today lol. I'm just trying to find some salmon faverolle eggs to hatch at the same time.

Brian I can give you some SF eggs I get about 3 a day I will save them for the next couple of days for you. and my incubator that lost power for about 12-18 hr at 9 days in(droped to 70)......... is now starting to hatch a little more than 1/2 quit but I have a few fighters 4 so far (SF) the really weird thing is most are trying to hatch at small end the power out has effected them some how to not know which end is out.

so I bought 12 chicks that are about 5 weeks old. They are pullets gold cuckoo Marans. Tthey will be 22.00 I also bought one 12 week old pullet s golf cuckoo Maran she is $35.00 I also bought a show quality Wheaten Americana pullet she is also 14 weeks old She is also $35.00 The olive eggers are all sold. I do have a couple of extra roosters that are gold cuckoo Marans if any one wants a breeding rooster. Depending on the weather we will leave tomorrow to come back to Utah We will be going through Kanab if anone wants to reserve some please PM These Marans are so pretty and all were hatched out of very very dark eggs.

Wendy you color is the same as my clucking palace Can't do any touristy thing my Motorhome is already stinking and I have to spend 2 days in it to get home.
