A friend of mine did Rangers earlier this yr but didn't care for them. Can't remember why. No she has Bresse. I think that's the breed. It's also self sustaining. Sweet, mellow, quiet birds. She's really liking them so far.

We are looking for a local source for red rangers. Do you folks know where we could get them?wow red that is not something you normally see! but i guess not many keep them around for as long as you have lol. very cool tho. and yeah i have heard they get as big as turkeys if you let them. good eatinghave you thought about red rangers? i guess those can be self sustaining but they take longer to grow and do not have as big as breasts but that can be good too depending on what you are after![]()

Hooray for our very first egg!Pretty sure it came from our 21 week old BO. I think our BR that's the same age should be starting very soon, too.

Welcome to the forum!Hello all, I'm new here. I just got my first four chicks in March, and my buff orpington turned out to be a rooster. He's my most friendly chicken, but, of course, I can't keep him. If anyone out there wants this sweet 4 month old rooster, I'd love to hear from you! I've been trying to find him a home, this is my last resort before he goes into the cooking pot.Thanks!![]()
