Utah!

They are 6 months and fully feathered. Although the coop isn't insulated I did run thick plastic around the run to stop the wind and snow gusts. The girls love telling me about it but seem to be happy and in good health so far. Egg production hasn't slowed down yet.
they will be fine :) i dont insulate. as long as they dont have direct drafts they should be good. just remember that having enough ventilation is very important because humidity in the air building up in the coop is not good, it causes frost bite and all sorts of issues and can kill chickens. i dont heat my coop ether. but i get the worry. when i first got chickens i would even go check on them several times a night lol

Red, I have some 18 month old hens and a few, well four young banty, BBR pullets that I could fix you up with if you need a few birds to tide you over till spring. I might even deliver if needed. Hate to see you get so low in numbers, and I enjoy having birds around, as I suppose you must as well. So if some or any of this could be of help, just say the word. I really dislike the run of tough luck you have faced… time to perhaps turn the page and hopefully leave the past in the past.

Buff's get pretty good sized..but look even larger than they are because of those cute fluffy butts...really pretty skirts on their back sides. Looks up photos of those Orpingtons if you want to see cute photos of the skirt. I'll take a look.

Love it!

My guess is these are the English breed. They are larger and more fluffy in the skirt and butt. Pretty!
