JerseyFresh, I have some fertile eggs that you are welcome to, if you'd like. They have been outside for several hours in the cold, and then refridgerated for a few days, but they're not frozen. I'm still new to how long eggs like that are good for, so if anyone can tell me that they're okay to incubate, I'd be happy to give a few to you. Let me know?

Glad to hear opinions are "girl" so far on my black one....Chiko --she was a black copper marans roo over a black ameraucana hen, to be an olive EE possibly. I sure hope you are right and she is a girl. Crossing fingers!! Cynthia got the eggs and hatched them. She had one too and it did not make it
Cynthia, I was thinking I could call LaVerne "Whiskers" haha! Cute! looks like she got into something and her face is dirty.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new babies, just got back from Sphinx house. Sphinx----you are just way too cute, and I love all the chickens you are raising, So fun to meet you! Here are a couple pics. I let my boy choose, one looks to me like a little owl face, love her, she is very petite, really screams girl to me. Cant even see that comb:


Then there is this fat little one Bigger, grayer, comb a bit bigger....I think maybe boy but my son says girl so we are giving it a shot haha! Very cute!

Well, I have my first egg pip on my eggs. It's on the wrong end. That happened last time, too! Now I'm trying to decide if I should move the webcam to the egg or keep it on the chicks.

Lisa, you picked some cute babies. I loved the big one. If that is a roo, you could get some cute babies from them breeding with the black EE's..lot's of cominations could happen, including, lavender splash. Fun...have fun with party and game.

Cynthia, here's a still shot of the most pipped egg.

As you can see, it's definitely more towards the narrow end. It's definitely making progress though, and Godzilla hatched the same way without any issues.

A third one pipped, but it's on the underside, practically touching the ground.

so most my girls are done moulting now and they are laying eggs again

i will still have a few molting for a while because they were nice and started their molt when the others were mostly done with theirs. it feels good to get more eggs
