They should be 3/4 their full grown size at this age. Sure look small don't they! If you do separate them you will likely need another hen or two so your roo does not drive your girl crazy.

There you go bursting my bubble. I am trying to keep the numbers to a minimum and you go tell me I need to get more. Are you and Sasha in cahoots to help get more chickens here?

It's what I do Call me 'inspiration'......you KNOW I am not going to be talking ANYBODY out of getting an extra chicken or two But you know your boy needs more than one girl. This IS Utah you moved to after all lol

It is too bad this weather is not cooperating for your reunion! I was thinking of you guys this morning when I looked outside. Hope it gets better!

oh I wanted to share this---There is a groupon this morning out for $19 for a full day Raging Waters pass including food and parking worth $41. Just sayin'----good deal if you are headed there anyway this summer! Woot!

So the chickens survived their first night outside (like that is any surprise to us but to muffy the EE it was the end of the world).

Now I need to add the ramps, the nesting boxes, and paint. But the good thing is the chickens are OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!

Yes, this is Utah, the state in which I was born but have not lived in for 40 years of my life. But I'M BACK!!!!!! So I will add another hen or two when I find the bird I just can't live without.

As long as the weather is cooperative from about 4 pm tomorrow until late evening, our reunion will survive. If it rains, we will have to move it inside the house.

Hey birdman, I found a suggestion on another thread for catching coons. They said to try putting a bowl of Pepsi in the back of a trap. That way, the raccoon has to stick around for a minute to get their fix. I'm very eager to try this!
