Utah!

Oh I forgot! The babies I picked up today from Hattie. Phone pics, blurry again, will get better ones tomorrow---look at the black face on that one there. Haha I think it looks like a masked villian

Maybe we will name then OJ and Kato haha :) My son says name them Tanto and Lone Ranger. Any good ideas?

Ok sitting her staring at the webcam.. Have too much time on my hands. Here is something to look at while we wait patiently for these chicks to hatch lol! So in another window, I will post pics of my new little coop, "La Casita". The front door is still not cut out, the white letters are not up.....but you can see how fun it is. It is a bit of a mess still but between this and the playhouse we are working on getting it all put back together ! Oh and for fun I have a pic of my 6 youngsters---the 2 wheatens from qcu, 2 black and 1 blue AM from Cynthia dear, and the Marans we got at chickenstock from Birdguy. Then there are a few pics of my polish because they kept sticking their heads out at my phone like they wanted pictures

Shirley is such a diva we won't even get to see the others hatch- she went and shoved them off camera. Brat. LOL

I had a feeling that would happen. lol...pretty active chick. Maybe her name should be Deva. :) Going to check again. Haven't in a while.
I can see the pip in that green egg..I want to see what pops out of that one!

Cynthia--Yes, something ornamental for fun. Love the silkies too. Especially after seeing all those from Hattie wow! I have no idea what the low down will be on broody. I kind of went with Polish because they are more frequent layers, eggs bigger :) But I think for looks the silkies are more exotic and beautiful. If only I could have more haha I would have a collection of both. I have to start picking and choosing and get this all in order by fall. Trying not to go too far over 20 I am getting teased pretty hard by my family and friends :) Let me know what you think when you get your wheatens. Hope you get at least one girl! She said coming back through Friday.

Sphinx these bad boys (and girls) need to hatch already! Bedtime is getting closer.... I have to choose whether to miss the hatch or pull an all nighter. It is hard to stop watching! I want to see what comes out of the Olive too!

Lisa, I really want that olive egg to hatch while the kids are in school. So, try to send it vibes to wait til 9am tomorrow...

Friday? She needs to get my address..so, expecting a PM from her. :) Checking that cam one more time tonight, then it's bedtime for me.

Long traveling day but finally in bed. It was so much fun meeting you Lisa! It was just not enough time to talk about chickens! Or and who's who in family ties. Ugh! Meeting off of the freeway was very convinent (thank you) but a bummer place for hanging out for awhile. We will give it another try Friday. So glad to meet you and your cute boy. I love how much he loves the chicks.
It was a crazy ride with 20 chicks,18 month old, and a 4 year old. The noise level was......... high. :/ good thing I love both the chicks and my grand kids.
I also got to meet Daloorashen. In a parking lot. I was passing off more chickens. Haha. So fun meeting her also. I think I froze her to death standing out in the cold talking chickens. So much fun! Thanks for chatting with this old chicken lady.
Good luck on the hatch Lisa! You should have never told me where you buy your eggs! This incubating will never end now.
Cynthia it will be Saturday that I come through your town. Hope that will be ok. I'm taking good care of your little chickes and by the way Lisa isn't joking on the red fingernail polish. Hahaha I couldn't believe it when I saw them. Seriously too funny. I'll send a pic tomorrow.
The bird guy I'm coming to see you next! :D I'll get in touch with you.

Cool pics Lisa!! I love the coop!! Sure you can go down to 20 by fall??

Jill, so fun to meet you and talk about these silly chickens...Those pics Lisa posted of your polish chicks are too cute!!

Lisa, these little chicks are too funny!! They drank and ate tonite after a little nap. Oh, and one of them was soo loud and would finally quiet down when I came out to look at it. I need to go to bed, so I finally figured it needed a mom, since it would quiet down when I put my hand down and touch it a little. So I brought in one of the 5 week old chicks from the garage (way too dusty for the house now). I brought in one of the Bantam chicks that's looking like a hen, the squawking chick was quiet right away and hid its head underneath her, LOL!! That's why I loved Bantams, they love being moms, I never thought they would do it at 5 weeks, though=) Haha

See?? I had to sneak and get a pic=)

It sounds like a very eventful day, Hattie. Aren't you down in Southern Utah? What a drive!

Lisa, love the improvements done to your coop.

Daloorashans, love the 5 week old banty mom. That is really sweet!

It's official. My chicks are brats.
