I want to hatch more, but I recently realized that at present, I have 25 chickens. That's an awful lot of chickens.

Aw C'mon! Where is that chicken math, you have to start listing out your roosters and how many are REAL chickens that you will have LONG term only. They count, the others do not! lol!

Well, of the 25 chickens, I absolutely know the gender and are keeping 12 of them. That includes the cream legbar rooster that Corvidae gave me and the bcm rooster that I hatched. Everything else is still iffy on gender. My BIL has called for either or both a lavender ameraucana of the littler ones, as well as a BLRW. But even so, when it's all said and done, I want it to be around 15.

My little baby girl is jumping up and down off the board to the food and water! So she is eating and drinking on her own now. She likes to lay on her side. Like you see the others do, when they stick their leg out and just lay there. She does it a lot though. I was worried..like I do, that something was wrong. If there was, she sure seems to be doing fine now. She just had to have another day to walk better. She still walks like she is learning. She is smaller than the others. And I don't like drama. After all these years of hatching, and having chickens, you would think that I would be used to some things, but I don't like some of the bad things that happen! Glad I sold a bator, thinking on selling another. I am going to stick to my new bator, and one other stryo, will be good for lock down. I want to be done for the summer. Too hot for those eggs out there anyway! And chicks. I hope not too many babies are being shipped right now.
