Lavender what?

Ha, good question! I was assuming Silkies!! My brain is on Silkies and showgirls. So, if they are supposed to be Ameraucanas.....what I said, still goes.. lol.. Ameauracana..will be lavender when hatched. Orpingtons.. Silkies are different.

Sundance, hooray for chicks! Congrats

Got some good news on the truck. The insurance decided to total it - not much surprise there. Still waiting to hear how much they'll reimburse us for on the value, but my boyfriend thinks it will be pretty fair. I hope so. We're already looking at other Tacoma's. As much as I love my Jeep*, it's not 4WD capable. And I love exploring with a good steed.

I can't remember who it was that mentioned they had a vehicle up for sale. Sundance, I think it was you, am I wrong? Just wanted to say thank you for mentioning that. I appreciate it

*(Civic, actually)
Now that you know it will be declared a total loss, get online or go to local dealers. Find the same model truck in year and approximate mileage and get a written quote (or print off the online asking price) on the value of the truck (dealer price, not private party price). Only if the adjuster has a lower figure, take the highest 5 truck values and present them to your insurance adjuster to negotiate a higher payoff. The key is, a little work may be worth a few extra thousand in your pocket. If you take the first offer they give you, you could be cheating yourself. (unless you have a really good adjuster that will work with you towards the benefit of you instead of the company). Vehicle prices vary from location to location as well as time of year so use that to your advantage. If you have to travel to Provo or Ogden to get a higher quote, it may be worth the drive. Stay away from places like Tooele because small towns generally have cheaper vehicles so they can move them. Stay away from super big dealers because they make profit by selling lots of cars instead of expensive cars.

Hope this helps and hope you find something you like. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Dealers, insurance adjusters and body shops all hate me because I will make them work harder to get me what I need.

Cynthia--Ok put me on your list for a showgirl :) If you have enough hatch and have one for sale after the others I will take one. Sasha, thanks for doing that, I really appreciate the shuttle! I will come by your place after we get back from vacation, we get back late late on the 8th. I would take two to hope one is a girl, but I keep getting all girls when I do that haha and now I am overrun with pairs of everything, so I will try my luck with one and see :) Just let me know how much and I will get the $ to Sasha. :D

Super good advice! Letting the adjuster know you are not afraid to sue the kid/insurance company helps too :) you definitely have grounds and they will know that.....they need to know that you know that too :)

Ok, picture over load, so you can see what's coming..and Lisa's little Wheatons' are in a \
a couple of the pictures.

The Exchequer..black and white chick, one of Lisa's Wheatons that is sold. And my little red
sexlink at the bottom.

Here is the showgirl for sell. She still has that yellow hue to her down. She will be white.

Here is my older showgirl outside, she is with Lisa's other Wheaton, the one I am keeping. A
straight from the top shot.

A distant shot, she has great foot feathering, and I love that she looks like she is having that S shape. Plus, her tail is going to be right up there, a little fluff ball over her back. A nice
vaulted head, will be fluffy too. My little red sexlink, funny little teen stage.
Got a couple of close up shots. Love that tail! She wouldn't hold it up for me. Little stink!

She was either screaming at me, or calling to her friends, or both. :)) I am with you Lisa,
I really like this white feathering up against the black skin. It really is pretty. I loving this little one, and of course, hoping it's a girl. They have those sweet eyes. So there you go Lisa and sundance, what they look like a little older.

Here is the buff I'm keeping. Be a girl!

T-Rex, love the avatar, the GL Polish are turning out so nice, huh!!! I love the beards......very cute

Seeing any wattles on those other two?
Both little ones are identical. There is a little pinkness forming, but nothing predominantly red. They both have the hint of a tiny waddle on one side but nothing on the other. We are guessing both ladies. If you want, I am thinking about trading Rocco for a WC boy since I only want one polish roo. If yours is a definite roo, we can trade one.

Sasha didn't even think about Elvis being bearded until we were paying attention to waddle coloring today. Sasha really likes the bearded over waddled.

I like the beareded best too. Harder to tell the gender on those though. My frizzle WCC is showing pink waddles on both sides. Crest looks girl, waddles say no way! if it is a boy I will check with you guys first before I do anything to see if you want him. Still hoping! Beautiful frizzled coat coming in, and definitely cuckoo patterned. Love the mask.....girl or boy, it is going to be super cute :)

This is the Welsummer. I took a picture of the top of the head. The sharp V shape is supposed to be a good indication of girl..for most folks. A sharp color, not fuzzy, or round spot. If going by the wings, I think the next shot shows that she is feathering out pretty good like a girl, and the tail is started.
Feathering, and you can see the eyeliner, another thing some people say you can sex them by, if they have a nice dark line going back it's supposed to be a girl. So, we can hope!

Save that white show girl for me

Ok sundance, do you want one of the ones that will hatch the first part of July too..you would have one with no muff and no bow tie..this one I just showed, and then the other will have a muff and bowtie. I'm counting my chicks before they hatch, they have been hard to hatch, but, that is why I ordered more, I have these in my new bator. Hope it makes a difference!
