Utah!

This is the Delaware.....they look really similar when they are juveniles, then the Delawares adult feathers come in more white, while the Wheatens get darker

When they were week olds it was impossible to tell them apart, I had to look at the combs to make sure. And the lighting is not helping, she is more gray and white than it looks here

She is sweeeeet! Hoping she goes to Red. If not, I am keeping her

Visions of loads of blue eggs coming back with those pics Moriah! Pretty girls!

Ok, I hatched some Delewares, mine didn't have all of that, just some black came in through the wings and tail. I want to see that baby grown up. I'm a stinker aren't I? I kept one for a while..that was about a year and a half ago. The get big!
Red, ya know you want it. :)
Anyone want a Silkie roo? A partridge boy that I hatched out a while back. From the breeder that I just hatched these last ones from. She hasn't posted pictures yet. He's really pretty. I find it hard to get a Partridge. Only $5.00. :p

Interesting! I looked at baby pics of some from another breeder....pretty similar, but not exactly like this. What if Birdguy was teasing and sent me a mystery pair of chicks haha! All kidding aside, from what I have seen and been told I think we are ok :) They sure are sweet as can be.. and maturing much faster than the wheatens, these are a week younger and are already much bigger. Fun! Red is not on anymore, she is taking deep breaths so she can resist....lol :) Last time you guys were goading me into buying I took a day off of here to compose myself :p Hope I did not scare ya off Red! But do holler if you cannot resist.

A silkie partridge Rooster? Bet he is beautiful. You should give us a pic just for fun. Oh and I was thinking about my little Lola's name, that would be the name for one of the showgirls right? Remember that song? her name was Lola, she was a showgirl....Barry Manilow Copa Cabana! Wow I am getting old :p

These look exactly like the ones I just sold.  Did you get your eggs from Rippy here on BYC?   I had one black, some blues, and a lot of the white leghorn mixes.  I kept one, and am like red right now, hoping it's a girl!

Cynthia - They are from my own flock. I'm getting incubator practice. They have been good egg layers, all 2 eggs every 3 days, except the leghorns - they lay 5 or more out of 6 days. The splash should be the leghorn/Ameraucana cross. I hoping for pretty blue color eggs like my white EE, almost as good as the black Ameraucana. Don't pay for EE hatching eggs - I'll give them to you!

Lisa - I feel your age. My hubby's name is Barry. It's not a common name. We used to be able to say "Barry, like Barry Manilow". Nowadays people don't know who that is!
