Cynthia, glad you got goodish news from the doctor. Sorry that you can't just go get the MRI. Did they give you results on the ankle xray? While we were in Yellowstone hiking around Old Faithful, my 13 year old started complaining that her ankle hurt. It was swelling, and stayed swollen, painful and bruised looking the rest of the trip. She didn't remember injuring it at all. She was really disappointed that it made her miss some of the other hikes, particularly around the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. When she saw the pictures I took, she about died. Here's one of the views that she had to miss. :-(
All this talk of chicks makes me want to join the fun! Only problems being that I live in a remote area, don't have a lot of money to spend on an incubator and I'm finding that I'm not creative enough to make one myself. D:
On the upside, I have a large, yet sadly empty looking chicken coop that could easily be fixed up, a large fenced off garden with chicken runs, and plenty of grasshoppers. XD
Picture overload again. Thought I would send pictures of the Exchequer, and you will see Lisa's..well mine now..Wheaton Ameraucana. And, Red, thought I would get a picture of my little EE mix like you have. I think mine has more of a tail. Couldn't tell in your picture too well. Your picture of yours looks to have a pretty small comb though.
The Exchequer and my little sexlink.
The sexlink is a picture hog, she comes close by me all the time. My big Splash Silkie, and Lisa's
Wheaton. Hey there baby! Looking right at me.
The Exchequer and the white EE mix.

My older showgirl, she (hopefully) is looking good.
Cute butt cheeks
The sexlink walking away, the showgirl, and another white silkie that I'm watching. Love the hairdo
on her! lol..
My older Exchequer, looking red. Who was it, Red that said she may lay first? I'm beginning to
wonder! She won't be 16 weeks until mid July though.
Here she is next to Miss Piggy, you can see how small the white leghorn is, she lays
a nice sized egg though!
Do you see pink?
Have to show my blue splash up close. She's purty to me. )

I doubt I have more than everyone combined.. besides... I really only have 25 chickens.....(see chicken math explanation if you forgot what counts...) LOL
But, Birdguy.. wasn't that gorgeous roo in that one pen a wyandotte (splash was it??) with the black wyandotte hen?? I know I'm going to have to have me some of those wyandottes eventually.... Now it's getting urgent to get that pen at my mom's finished, hehe...
Love the pics Cynthia!! If you think about it... would you post a pic of what your grow-out pen looks like?? I'm just curious after seeing part of the inside=)
Birdguy- that rooster was so pretty!! So if you ever have eggs hatch from that Black laced hen and him...I'd probably be talked into being a taker=)
Sphinx... AWESOME pic!! I love Yellowstone!! Being so close, we used to just take a drive up there on Sunday afternoons when I was growing up.. love the country around here...
Okay Red...
I know it's a long shot... but here's pics of my BR & EE cockerel... Or if anyone else is interested, before I put them on Craigslist and KSL...
I'm keeping the little white bantam pullet (probably=)

That chicken butt picture is awefully cute. I love it when you guys post your pictures of your chickens. Although it does give me chicken envy.
You have some very cute silkies and I just have to say your blue splash is definitely purty to me too!
We've got a pip!!! My DD and I have been incubating Ancona duck eggs. They went into lockdown yesterday morning, hatch day is the 28th, so this little baby has pipped a wee bit early, but man is that egg rocking! started with 12, 9 went into lockdown....shipped eggs from the east coast. I think this is DARN good, and I'm hoping for a good hatch for my DD.
Shinx, what a beautiful picture! And CONGRATS on getting FOUR eggs today! I can't wait for my girls to start laying. 3 of them are *this* close.
Cynthia, Loving me some pretty babies!
Daloorashens-better keep a close eye on your super cute white banty pullet!
