I bought DE from a store in Provo you can go on KSL and see who has it. I use a flour sifter and sprinkle around the coop area and garden works great. I also put it in the chicken feed once a week.

Kimmy, I buy DE at Steve Ragan Company. You need to buy the food grade. I use a flour sifter to sprinkle it around. Works like a charm!
 
Sundance, I can wait til Sunday no problem! I want you to be better, you need to take care of yourself for sure. You have my number, just let us know when you are headed this way. Your babies are in the garage in a brooder tub and they are doing fine. They drank a lot of water this morning, and are eating good. They were in with a lot of birds over there, bum feathers a little bit picked at but otherwise they look really healthy (and pretty!) They are probably happy to chill in the garage on their own where it is calm and quiet.

If we go south for any reason over the weekend I will let you know. Will you pm me your number? I think you did once but I can't find it.

Ditto on Steve Regan Co. Birdman told us about that place, it is pretty cheap there compared to other places.
 
yep i get mine at steve reagan co, they are great to deal with. i get it by the 50 lb bag. this sprayer is like one of those auto air fresheners, it runs on 2 "d" batteries and you just take the can of spray and snap it in, turn it on and it will spray every 15 minutes :) one can of spray lasts a month and they are 8 dollars or so.
 
sundance go to the top of your bar where you make your comments, see the "Size" block? click on it and make it as big as you want, number 14 is good..or you can go bigger if you need to. I'm thinking I may start going bigger, my eyes would like that better.

I had 5 out of 6 that went into lock down hatch. Strong little/big babies! Two blacks, the one I thought was all yellow, but has a brown down to it all over, and, two blues, one of the blues has interesting coloring around the eyes and head..yellow. Will get pictures later. The last one hatched just this morning. Doing very well, walking/paddling on it's bum. Want it to be stronger.
 
Sundancen, you should also be able to go to the top of your browser and use the "View" option somewhere to resize all of the font in your window. This will affect every site you visit, not just BYC.

Cynthia, glad the babies are doing okay. That buff-ish one sounds interesting!

The more yellow one was the first to hatch..it has a brown tint to it's feathering.

All have puffy cheeks..a couple not as much

I love the coloring of this one. Blue on the back, yellow throughout, and spots on eyes
and beak..:))

They all came from pretty blue eggs, except for one, it was more of a green/blue. A
Black chick came from that one the dark black one up front. The other dark looking one seems to be a light blue, it really doesn't look nearly as dark as this one up front. It's so fun to have babies again. snuggles!
Anyone interested? Let me know soon. I am going to pick out my fav. Also the big
Blue pure A. outside. I am going to put her up on ksl. I have some blue going on already.
My black A. outside has laid an egg for me every day since she started. Today is day 4 I
do believe. :)
